Curious about adding seaweeds to your diet or herbal repertoire, but don’t know which seaweeds to choose or where to begin? This is your chance to learn about the specific nutrient profiles, medicinal properties, and unique flavors and textures of various Atlantic and Pacific seaweeds.
In this introductory class, students will learn:
About several different Atlantic and Pacific seaweeds commonly used as food.
The unique nutrient, medicinal constituent, and flavor profiles of these seaweeds
Optimal ways for working with each seaweed as food and medicine
Inspiration and recipes for experimenting with seaweeds in your home or herbal kitchen.
Class will be held virtually via Zoom on Monday, January 6, 2025, 5:00-6:15 PM PDT. Recording and slides from this class will be made available to students as well.
